That's right, our webstore opens tomorrow night at 8pm VIC time!

I have been busy today working on a couple of special offers just for tomorrow night, and there will be a few more things up on sale as well.

I have almost finished listing the first 50 items to the webstore!
 
This means that as soon as that is done I will be reopening our Facebook Page AND hopefully have our grand Reopening Celebration and Open the Webstore on Friday February 17th!

So we have been on hiatus for a LONG time now, and I've been rather bad at keeping up with this blog... very naughty of me!




So, here are some updates for everyone:

1) The Facebook page will be reopening this month (it's currently in admin mode so you can't see it or post on it... sorry!).

2) We now have a new webstore, it has ad's on it so I apologise now, but we are unable to afford a full webstore at this time that doesn't have ad's.

3) We have a new baby on the way! Bubba #3 for us, and due in early July, so it's going to be a very busy year!

4) I have just started studying to become a Birth Doula - I need something else to do when I'm not beading, so I decided on a course that is recognised in 78 countries around the world which will enable me to earn an income at my own leisure in a field that I am very passionate about and fund my beading addiction in the process.

5) I will be holding some celebration events when we reopen the Facebook page and officially open the webstore!
We will be offering a few give-aways (yes I know we said that we wouldn't be doing give-aways anymore, but the grand opening and reopening deserve something special, and this will be a one-off until we get our own domain name when we will hold another celebration), 2 items will be offered for only the price of postage, every order placed through the webstore in the first 14 days after the webstore opens that are over $20 (excluding postage) will receive a free gift as well :)
We will also be holding a random draw where everyone who purchases from us in those first 14 days after the webstore opens will have their name placed into a box and 2 names will be drawn out and each of them will win a $25 voucher to spend in store :)
Other things on offer will be discounts for purchasing through the webstore and several items will be on offer for reduced prices on a first come, first served basis.

So it's been a while since I updated.

Since the last blog entry we have reached 1000 likers - and then exceeded that number! - and have had our 1000 liker sale.

We have also had our late honeymoon too, and we were away for 5 days, it was bliss to get away from the kids and have time to ourselves for a while.

Our car was also torched almost 2 weeks ago, leaving us without suitable transport for taking the kids anywhere - thank god Hubby has a motorbike or he wouldn't have been able to get to work! - we are currently having a 50% off all available now items until Monday October 31st 2011 to raise some funds towards covering our excess and transport costs until our insurance is sorted out.

I will also be away from Friday (Tomorrow) through to Monday morning while I clean and re-organise my study/workroom (which is in desperate need of a clean-up!).

Also in our latest news is that in future we will only be making Jewellery to order - we will take a limit of 5 custom orders a month currently, and may increase that limit later down the track or if all orders are completed and received early.
So if you want to order something special for Christmas get in NOW!

Other news is that we currently have the stock available to make 5 memorial bracelets for women who have lost their babies during pregnancy, childbirth and up to 2 years of age.

I will be adding some info on the fertility jewellery and the properties of the gemstones used to the website.

It has been a busy week here at KahlahJewellery headquarters - new stock has just arrived and our kit for the latest Designer Quest at http://www.beadingforum.com.au is here as well - so we will be busy busy busy over the next few weeks.

If you are a beady-type person and haven't already joined http://www.beadingforum.com.au/forums/ I highly recommend that you do.

It is a great forum for all things beady where you can get help when needed, find great tutorials, participate in the weekly challenges and Designer Quest among other things, and also get inspiration in those times when your beading mojo runs away (which has happened to me many times over the past couple of years!).

Another great site, especially for seed beaders is http://www.beadjewelrymaking.com/ where you can find many tutorials to make some wonerful 3-D things.

Our second update - wow, I'm managing to keep up lol

Unfortunately I've been quite sick this week, as have both my kids so I have been busy with them and busy trying to get better and have neglected the page a bit.

Now I'm back in the swing of things and have added some new stock - specifically Sterling Silver Findings!

We now have 5mm open jump rings, 1mm x 2mm crimps, 9mm parrot clasps and a small QTY of 3mm round spacers all in solid sterling silver.

If you want to purchase larger QTY's than we currently have available you can place an order with us - it would take a maximum of 8 days for them to arrive to us, followed by another maximum of 8 days to reach you as long as Australia Post is running on time.

I have ventured back into the world of blogging - lets see how long I last this time lol
